WHAT OUR CLIENT ASKED FOR:
Sean was looking to book a month-long dream trip, for his family, to Japan. His hope was to have truly authentic, culturally immersive experiences mixed with modern amenities. As there were 2 adults and 2 almost-teens, it was important to find rooms large enough and with enough bedding to accommodate all of them (which can be a challenge in some parts of Japan!). It was also important, to Sean, to have reliable internet access throughout their trip.

The King Family’s incredible Japan adventure started in the bustling city of Tokyo and made their way down to an island beach resort in dreamy Okinawa. Sean and I discussed and planned their transportation and routes throughout Japan, in advance. I arranged for a ‘pocket WiFi’ to be available for them to pick up upon their arrival so they could rely on an internet connection right away. I booked them a mix of modern hotels as well as Ryokans (traditional Japanese rooms) along the way in Osaka, Kyoto, and the breathtaking Mount Koya (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), to name a few. I arranged a detour to Nagano, where they stayed in a tiny village and visited the famous snow monkeys, up close and personal, at Jigokudani Monkey Park (an absolute must!). I arranged tickets for them to go to Universal Studios Osaka as well as Tokyo Disney Sea for some serious family fun! They had unforgettable opportunities to dress in traditional Japanese clothing, participate in traditional Japanese ‘tea time’, and they clapped along when everyone in a restaurant they were at spontaneously broke into song! Sean sent frequent messages, photos, and videos throughout their trip to show me how much fun they were having and to express how impressed they were with Japan and the people there.
